A draft Urban Design Framework has been developed for the town centre (activity centre) of Maiden Gully.

An Urban Design Framework seeks to provide strategic direction and guidance regarding future development of an area. It addresses how land could be used, the design of buildings and landscapes, public open space opportunities, walking, cycling and vehicle movement improvements and equitable access and inclusion.

We heard from the community in 2023 through feedback provided on a map of the town centre.

Now it's your opportunity to have a say on the ideas and improvements we have developed as a result of that feedback. It is a draft document so all feedback will be considered that assists Maiden Gully's activity centre to develop into a vibrant and engaging place to work, shop and live.

We previously asked the community for input to help shape a new Maiden Gully Urban Design Framework.

The Framework will guide how the Maiden Gully town centre evolves to meet the needs of the community now and into the future.

As the population grows, it is important that the town centre is well designed, vibrant, safe and welcoming, with spaces and services that support residents, businesses and visitors.

Developing the Framework was identified as a key recommendation of the Maiden Gully Precinct Structure Plan.
